How many acorns are in the jar? The winning number is…

Last weekend we had a contest at our house to see who could best guess the number of acorns in this jar

Since then we have continued collecting acorns in our yard, and we have now filled several jars and containers!

We have collected all these acorns in our yard over the last 2 weeks. We actually had another jar that we sent home with some cousins.

The kids were very excited about the contest to see who could most closely guess how many acorns are in the 1st jar. Here is how the contest went…

I got everything setup for all the guesses. The kids each got 5 guesses, while Jennifer and I each got 2 guesses.

Sam is 3, and he can count to about 10. He needed Mommy's help, but he still loved counting all his acorns.
